    Peet’s is a fast-paced environment, at an extremely exciting time of expansion. We are seeking a copywriter who can help our marketing team express the smart and spirited voice of Peet’s.

    The Role
    The copywriter will report into the Creative Director and write across all our channels and touchpoints: web, social, digital, email, POS signage, packaging, naming, displays. The perfect candidate thinks strategically and has a direct writing style that is smart and humorous. If you’re fast, collaborative, proactive, flexible and undaunted by juggling multiple types of deliverables, we can’t wait to meet you.



    • Writing compelling copy and carrying the voice of Peet’s across a variety of touchpoints, e.g., headlines, loyalty and brand emails, push notifications, social posts, video scripts, food and coffee descriptions, coffee origin stories, web copy, positioning statements, etc.
    • Thinking strategically about briefs and asking the right questions so we get to the smartest work in the fewest rounds.
    • Collaborating with a small team of designers.
    • Understanding the business goals of each internal marketing team and developing trusted relationships with them.



    • You are service orientated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • You are an “owner” who can problem-solve, stay organized, and meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
    • You care about getting the details right while also staying nimble and adaptable when priorities shift or rush assignments come in.
    • You’re proactive – you don’t waste time staying stuck and feel comfortable asking for direction when needed.
    • You have an interest in commerce, track advertising trends and popular culture, and can identify new opportunities for us to tap.
    • You loath pretentiousness and jargon, and constantly surprise us with how few words you need to communicate a smart thought.


    • 3-6 years in an agency or in-house environment.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
    • Experience brainstorming ideas with other creatives.
    • Experience presenting to clients and diplomatically receiving feedback.
