  • Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the fixed asset and GL accountant will serve an integral role in the close process for fixed assets by preparing journal entries and key analysis, maintaining fixed asset records, researching and resolving accounting issues, and implementing control and process improvements.  The accountant will also assist with additional general ledger processes and journal entries.  This is a full-time, exempt position.


    • Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting including additions, disposals/ retirements, capital leases, construction in progress and capitalized software.
    • Review capital expenditures for compliance with the fixed asset policy and appropriate general ledger coding.
    • Provide data to the internal tax team for property and sales/use tax returns.
    • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and rollforward for fixed assets.
    • Prepare fixed asset journal entries.
    • Role will also work on other general ledger areas and will prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Assist with annual external audits.
    • Perform readiness testing and training for fixed assets related to the ERP implementation to Microsoft D365.
    • Perform ad hoc projects as requested.



    • Degree in accounting or related field and 3-4 years' accounting experience either in industry or an accounting firm. Previous retail and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLookup’s and Pivot tables.
    • Strong analytical background.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet tight month-end close deadlines
    • Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
