  • Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Foodservice Operations and working collaboratively with the Sales and internal Wholesale support teams, the Senior Manager, Foodservice Operations provides direction and leadership to the successful operations of Peet’s Foodservice channels: We Proudly Pour and Licensed Partner.  The Senior Manager leads a team of account managers in overall operations, sales and support, along with assistance for internal initiatives to ensure performance of division and company-wide goals. 


    • Lead a team of Account Managers that provide daily operational, sales and training support to Peet’s WPP & LP locations within defined territory
    • Manage the field-based team across multiple states through regularly scheduled field visits, weekly check-ins, and team meetings
    • As the leader of a field team, ensures programs, policies and practices are executed consistently across Peet’s WPP & LP locations
    • Develop and manage relationships with Peet’s external brewing partners (accounts), providing operational consultation at the senior and executive level, to drive program compliance and performance in service and quality
    • Provide input on refining tools/systems/processes which impact field execution
    • Oversees Account Manager scheduling to ensure smooth openings of all new accounts (WPP & LP), including installation of equipment, proper merchandise assortment, AM coverage, etc
    • Regularly scheduled field time with sales team to review operations, current sales opportunities and develop solid understanding of sales strengths and opportunities through an operational lens
    • Partner with Division Sales Team to ensure smooth transition from sale of new account to Account Manager operational coverage; includes customer, Account Manager and business ongoing support


    • Adhere to budgets and operating plans to achieve division and company goals
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends in business, provide support to AMs, and drive success across channel(s)
    • Works to develop sound business plans with key licensed partners to drive business within specific channels
    • Understands and evaluates business trends in key accounts, sharing performance data and conducting bi-annual business reviews with strategic partners
    • Leads and manages designed training programs offered to both WPP & LP customers, including schedule, communicate and execute trainings, both in the field and Peet’s Alameda Roasting Facility.
    • Leverages Salesforce as primary venue for tracking and management of all account information
    • Works cross functionally with inside Strategy, Planning, and Marketing, Wholesale Team to implement and execute successful launch of promotions, includes, merchandise, beverage/coffee product, communication to AMs, and PP/LP customers. Owns process from start to finish includes successful launch, customer feedback, monitoring and measuring field implementation, tracking compliance in LP and participation in LP. Provides feedback and level of success to WS planning team
    • Equipment-Managing and maintaining total equipment assets offered for WPP customers includes, relationships with equipment vendors, scheduling, ROI review, processing of all invoices in timely manner, and installs of equipment
    • Reviews current assets in field on quarterly basis to ensure ROI is in place in accounts
    • Works with Foodservice Finance team to review current assets in field, track equipment OH, in ensure divisional assets are tracked
    • Works with vendors regarding installs, invoicing, purchasing and storing of all equipment


    • 7-10 years of related field leadership experience; with experience in licensing/foodservice required.
    • Working knowledge of key accounts and business verticals in targeted markets
    • Ability to plan and implement strategic vision, both long and short term.
    • Strong business acumen and a track record of driving sales through a field team
    • Strong internal and external customer service skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Strong team building skills with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a diverse team
    • Proven ability to retain and develop teams
    • Strong initiative, and self-management skills
    • Excellent planning, time-management and prioritization skills
    • Willingness to travel regularly
