  • Overview

    Reporting to the Director of CPG Marketing, the Associate Marketing Manager (AMM) plays an integral role on the marketing team.  The AMM will help develop and execute national marketing programs to drive sales within retailers supporting the overall CPG strategy.  Management includes the day-to-day operations of all programs, communication with sales team, asset development and post program analytics.  This person owns and manages the POS merchandising initiatives and process to drive growth in the grocery, mass and club channels.  This is a full-time, exempt level role.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with the Director of CPG Marketing to develop and execute strategic CPG marketing initiatives to support business growth objectives for the Peet’s Brand Portfolio
    • Track, analyze and report post marketing program ROI
    • Plan, develop and manage in-store DSD POS materials and displays. Work closely and strategically with DSD Operations team to communicate tactic details and ensure program materials are available in warehouse and arrive to outer field team prior to start of programs
    • Manage Company partnerships as day-to-day contact
    • Lead creative timeline and development of brand CPG materials
    • Create, manage and track all grocery coupons, including barcode development. Manage monthly redemption budget.
    • Manage DSD Marketing budget
    • Support new item launches with sell-in timelines, development of POS, packaging and product samples, and communication out to account and field teams.
    • Manage annual CPG Marketing calendar
    • Establish and maintain effective, cross-functional relationships among Sales, Creative Services, Finance, Retail and Social/Digital teams
    • Manage CPG product image library, including packaging and lifestyle images. Coordinate needed images with brand partners as needed
    • Take responsibility and initiative in understanding overall category and competitive trends
    • Positive brand ambassador for grass-root sampling and coffee tastings as needed

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of Marketing experience, CPG preferred
    • BA/BS degree in business, marketing or related field
    • Project management and analytics experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Entrepreneurial, can-do mindset and strong drive for results
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Highly organized, detail oriented, able to take on multiple projects, work against timelines
