Reporting to the Inventory Analytics Manager, the Inventory Control Analyst is a key member of the team supporting the Coffee team. This role is responsible for providing insights on green coffee inventory transactions at multiple warehouses including 3PL warehouses, ensuring accurate inventory transactions with adequate processes in place.
Complete weekly inventory analysis for various Peets divisions to avoid low stock/overstock situations and develop inventory plans to ensure smooth flow of the green coffee stock.
Coordinate and resolve inventory issues with roasting plant team, green coffee department and off-site warehouse/vendor team.
Optimize inventory levels by reviewing each SKU usage and stock levels.
Keep track of all the blend formulas and changes, serve as a liaison between the roasting team and the coffee department
Monitor, correct and report Green Handling System (GHS) inventory transactions
Enhance current inventory and business process flows to improve inventory visibility and reporting accuracy.
Analyze inventory structure, recommend and support actions to improve accuracy in inventory tracking
Support weekly/monthly cycle counting, lead inventory reconciliation process and year-end green coffee physical inventory review
Support the new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations) implementation
Perform mock recalls and assist with QA/QC audits.
Daily Reconciliation of Brown as relates to Green input & usage
Process for BD&L (Breakage, Damage & Loss
Perform other inventory control and reporting duties as assigned.
Occasional after-hours availability is required to support 24/6 roasting operations.
Expert level of Excel knowledge: VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, IFERROR/ISERROR, pivots, macros, nested IF-THEN statements, cell custom conditional formatting
Ability to communicate clearly and solve problems via e-mail and chat
Ability to forecast inventory levels based on usage history and future supply/demand patterns
Experience with an enterprise-level ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 or Oracle E-Business Suite or SAP
Understanding of the BOM and related concepts such as BOM versions and yields
Ability to reconcile data from/to multiple systems/sources
Ability to develop and enhance the existing business analytical tools
Ability to perform project-management duties when needed
Ability to think critically and make inventory decisions
