    Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line to the Vice President of Finance, the Finance Director of Supply Chain Management is a key member of the Supply Chain leadership team supporting the Manufacturing, Distribution, Logistics, Coffee Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Contract Manufacturing, Quality and R&D teams at Peet’s. This role partners closely with each area to provide strategic, operational, financial planning and decision support services. This individual will manage the Plant Controller and other additional finance staff members and work with corporate and channel level finance, accounting and business teams. This person will be responsible for continuous improvement in Supply Chain operating results, long-term investment and expansion decision support, forecasting and planning, and building financial and business acumen within the organization.



    • Act as the finance lead on Supply Chain business management and projects
    • Collaborate to provide strategic and tactical business support to guide and influence key decision makers in the achievement of their business objectives; optimize and drive business KPI results
    • Drive preparation and presentation of long range, annual, and monthly plans and forecasts
    • Oversight of monthly close, ensuring sufficient internal controls and procedures are implemented to support compliance with Company policies and guidelines.
    • Manage or support routine reporting package of supply chain operations to Corporate Finance, Supply Chain management teams, Senior leadership team, and the Board of Directors, including full analysis of manufacturing costs, distribution costs, key project tracking, and KPI reporting
    • Understand and help improve business and operational processes and procedures to ensure effective and optimal business flows to ensure the overall processes are optimized and overall costs are minimized without causing service level or quality issues
    • Lead the company wide standard costing process to support the pricing decisions, to support accurate profitability reporting by business channels and ensure the inventory valuation complies with GAAP
    • Lead the green coffee cost projection and demand forecasting process to support the green coffee purchase and hedging decisions
    • Support the company’s ERP upgrade initiatives
    • Work closely with the Supply Chain Inventory Control function and Corporate Inventory Accounting function to ensure processes are in place and continuously improved for accurate and effective inventory transactions; continue to establish and improve inventory policies and procedures to minimize the chance of potential operational issues
    • Support long-term investment and capacity expansion projects as the thought leader and financial expert


    • Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain/Operations/Manufacturing, or Business required. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred and cost accounting knowledge required
    • A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in finance/accounting roles within consumer or industrial product supply chain environments, with strong business acumen; beverage company experience a plus
    • Proven track record with continuous improvement results in a supply chain organization with leadership roles that demonstrate a strong accounting and finance foundation.
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to express quantitative results clearly, concisely and effectively; ability to summarize and effectively explain complex information
    • Strong leadership skills and experience working effectively with senior management and across the organizations
    • Previous ERP system implementation experience a preferred skill
    • Financial modeling proficiency required along with ability to create multiple scenario, sensitivity analysis
