  • Overview

    The Demand Planning Manager position supports the Demand Planning function at Peet’s and contributes to the forecasting activities in a Supply Chain organization.  The position is responsible for consolidation and dissemination of the demand plan across the multiple stakeholders and its accurate and on time input in the ERP demand module.  This team member will forecast and make recommendations to identify forecast, reporting and process improvements. It is the SME for demand planning tool within the organization

    Responsibilities

    • Owner and Responsible for on time input and accuracy of demand plan inside the demand tool.
    • Responsible for creation and maintenance of business process flow and training for demand planning.
    • Expert in utilization of demand plan module
    • Forecasting demand for all different products platforms across multiple distribution centers that will enable decision making in the Supply Chain.
    • Maintains and develops weekly and monthly reports that aid in forecasting and strategic decisions. Monitors and analyzes key KPI’s.
    • Define proper demand planning techniques that represent the behavior of the category/business channel/business maturity.
    • Assist Sr Manager of Demand Planning developing and maintaining S&OP meetings.
    • Performs root cause analysis of demand issues and provides go forward resolutions
    • Collaborates with the Supply Chain organization and provides trends, forecast accuracy and modeling to advise on inventory strategies for existing items, new products and product phase-outs
    • Conducts ad-hoc analyses for special initiatives, new product launches, key projects and team requests. Ability to interpret data analysis into action plans and recommendations
    • Proactive in recommending improvements to reporting, forecasting and business process efficiencies. 

    Qualifications

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills required
    • Must be flexible to changing business needs
    • Cross-Functional Communication and Teamwork skillset are integral to this role.
    • The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree with three or more years of related experience in either demand planning or sales forecasting across multiple distribution centers. Supply Chain experience or Supply Chain education a plus
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (expert level in Excel, Access). Microsoft Dynamics, Atlas, SQL, TradePro and Cognos a plus, ability to learn new systems.
    • Food Service and Beverage experience and/or Manufacturing experience preferred.
