  • Overview

    This person will be responsible for the day-to- day management and support of Peet’s distribution solutions provided by 3rdparty providers. Responsibilities would include managing the strategic accounts, defining, monitoring and holding partners accountable to defined SLAs and ensuring  a high quality and luxurious customer experience is achieved. The role requires an enthusiastic self-starter who will be ‘eyes and ears’ for the greater Ops team. This leader must develop great partnerships work cross functionally and be able to influence and create process improvements that is laser focused on improving customer service and reduce costs. Strong collaboration with other members of Operations as well as working with the team to develop and improve processes is a critical aspect of this role.



    • Day to day operations management of all partner distribution and logistics providers. SLAs, performance metrics for 3PLs
    • Derive actionable metrics from large amounts of information from various sources and report up to their manager and other appropriate individuals within the company
    • Ensure smooth day-to- day operations with adherence to Level of Service (LOS) for on-time shipping for
    • fulfillment network partners
    • Escalate issues, as appropriate to Supply Chain Leadership with appropriate resolution
    • Identify key 3PL performance issues and work with associated departments and/or vendors to resolution
    • Support fulfillment partners’ adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements
    • Assist in the development of the long-term vision of using vendor relations to protect Peet’s customer
    • experience
    • Work cross-functionally to develop tools and training for Peet’s strategic initiatives



    • Previous experience managing operational teams
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Vendor/order management experience preferred
    • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High attention to detail

    Interpersonal Competencies:

    • Ability to balance multiple priorities at once and manage time appropriately
    • Strong diplomacy skills (deliver ‘bad’ news in a constructive manner)
    • Ability to work cohesively with multiple teams; acute attention to detail and an analytical acumen are also vital to accomplish goals
    • Ability to build strong relationships with our internal and external partners


    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Logistics/Distribution
    • 7-10 years’ experience in Operations preferably managing Vendors/3PLs
    • Deep understanding of Order Management Systems
