    The Vice President of Sales is an executive leadership role responsible for managing the strategic top and bottom line growth of portfolio products including, sales pipeline planning, portfolio & innovation planning, partnering with marketing with the development of the annual market plan, and cross-functional leadership to ensure sales strategy & organizational alignment to these activities. This role is responsible for establishing sales targets to meet company objectives, professional development of a team and excelling department culture.

     

    The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for expanding development of strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

     

    Consumer communications efforts that the Vice President of Sales will lead include but are not limited to; distributor & retailer meetings, team trainings, and professional sampling. These efforts are to be led by Revive’s mission, vision & purpose to maintain consistency in our brand messaging.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement and achieve strategic sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies and procedures that conform to company’s revenue goals and strategic initiatives.
    • Implements approved distribution strategies.
    • Manage multiple channel selling strategies.
    • Develop sales proposals for potential customers.
    • Build and deliver effective presentations & trainings to sales reps, brokers and customers.
    • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
    • Evaluate, analyze, and improve the effectiveness of the sales process and systems.
    • Promotional development and management across all channels
    • Interface cross departmentally to achieve and drive continued sales initiatives.
    • Plan for, participate in, and support trade shows, trade events and major sales events.
    • Monitor competitive and market activity category trends and provide feedback and recommendations to executive team.
    • Compile and review quantitative sales data and react rapidly to changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities.
    • Manage and communicate with external DSD, direct, and brokers to elevate sales
    • Take action in innovation pipeline with extensive involvement of ideation, R&D, product design, manufacturing, brand strategy, sales/marketing implementation

    People Management

    • Directly responsible for leading sales managers and indirectly responsible for all crew members within the sales team.
    • Lead by example to motivate and inspire team.
    • Directs work through a team, while also rolling up sleeves as an individual contributor.
    • Actively communicates expectations, builds team accountability, and provides regular feedback against goals.
    • Builds appropriate development plans (both on the job and formal training) to support identified opportunities.
    • Positive team player, able to work closely with cross-functional groups, anticipate and react to changes quickly.

    Qualifications

    • Innovative and enthusiastic leader. Can get his/her hands dirty and motivate a team.

    • Prior high growth leadership experience scaling a fast-growing business within a start-up environment.

    • Five plus years of sales experience in a large traditional consumer packaged goods environment.

    • Ten plus years sales experience.

    • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite: Excel, Powerpoint, Word

    • Skilled with technology and open to learning new programs to elevate the business

    • Experience building & managing a team.

    • Experience managing multiple regional managers across several geographies

    • Natural & organic food, RTD and cold-chain experience a plus, as well as experience at a mission driven organization.

    • Familiarity with functional beverages fermented products a plus

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field.

    • MBA preferred.

    • Willing to travel up to 30 - 50% (including nights and weekends).

    • Demonstrated record of success and overachievement.

    • Takes initiative and proactively looks for and suggests improvements.

    • Exceptional communication skills.

    • Possess strong interpersonal skills and drive, with the ability to mentor, organize, persuade and inspire sales team.

    • Strategic thinking and ability to drive that thinking into actionable plans.

    • Ability to align priorities towards business goals and a drive for results.

    • Experience working closely with sales & marketing teams across all major distribution channels; natural foods, grocery, mass, club, foodservice and drug.

    • Skill with performing complex analysis and interpret market trends and business data

    • Strong, passionate leadership skills and business acumen.

    • Ability to operate autonomously

    • Positivity, creativity, attention to detail, ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task, flexibility, and comfort in fast-changing, agile environments.

    • Strong partnership skills. Able to work with strategic distribution partners to ensure Revive is able to extract the most value from their relationships,

    • Great understanding of or willingness to learn about how to sell a product that has a unique shelf life and temperature needs.

    • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
