  • Overview

    The Roasting Plant Human Resources Coordinator reports to Human Resources Business Partner and is responsible for the organizational support for the Roasting Plant and affiliated operations. This position contributes to the success of Peet’s Coffee by the being the face and ambassador of the Roasting Plant to all guests and visitors coming to the Plant. This position will provide HR project and administrative support to roasting plant directors and HR department.

    Responsibilities

    HR Administrative Support:

    • Assists with analyzing training needs with the HR Business Partner to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs to fit the specific needs of individuals
    • Assists with the delivery, review, maintenance, training curriculum to ensure the training needs of the organization are met
    • Assists with recruitment and interview process by posting open positions, sourcing resumes tracking status of candidates and responding with follow up emails or letters at the end of the recruiting process.
    • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Business Partner and management team
    • Supports management team with time keeping, attendance trackers and holding team accountable to Roasting Plant Attendance Policy by creating reports on weekly attendance activities per department and partnering with managers to share results.
    • Supports with employee engagement and recognition events including: birthday recognition, Holiday party, Quarterly celebrations and helping mangers plan milestone or accomplishment recognition events.
    • Support senior director level with administrative duties including scheduling meetings, expenses and timekeeping
    • Initial point person for any payroll or benefits related questions
    • Provide Employee Relations support as needed

    Office Support:

    • Reception duties- answering doorbell, greeting and assisting visitors during their time at the plant.
    • Manage conference room schedule and provide support for meetings by ordering food, setting up and cleaning up after meeting and provide any administrative help.
    • Organize plant tours through managing plant tour schedule and any logistics involved with the plant tours.
    • Process all office mail
    • Manages and maintenance of employee break room including tidy up, restocking and ordering necessary material
    • Manages all office supplies orders
    • Manages services needed at the plant to maintain the brand such as shred services and cleaning service
    • Support Roasting Plant Leadership team with misc. administrative duties including scheduling meetings, expenses and timekeeping

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • 5 years customer service experience is a MUST

    • 2 years HR administration experience

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    • Working knowledge of general office procedures and office machines

    • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability

    • Accurate attention to detail and strong organizational skills

    • Ability to work well with others, including effective interpersonal skills

    • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication skills, including professional telephone manner

    • BA/BS is preferred

    • PHR will be looked as a plus

    • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a must
