  • Overview

    The Sr Manager of Forecasting and Demand Planning will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to establish and lead these functions through the creation, implementation and execution of a comprehensive S&OP process.

     

    The Sr Manager will have the ability to be strategic as well as perform as a hands on leader who will work collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

     

    The role will be responsible to gather demand information from internal and external customers and develop and supply demand forecast. It will lead the application of best practices, process and concepts to ensure high level of accuracy in the forecasting process and develops methodologies to track variances to forecasts and make improvements to the process.

     

    The Sr Manager has the responsibility to lead a team and cross functional teams by providing guidelines for implementation and execution of all S&OP and Forecasting activities.

    Provide coaching, thought leadership, opportunities for personal development, and ensuring a continuous improvement mindset.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Champion and lead S&OP process with cross functional stakeholders
    • Strong leadership role across the organization by promoting and engaging in close collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
    • Effectively manage projects, timelines, and change management throughout the company
    • Manage difficult issues and implement positive change as required
    • Facilitates training sessions internally on Forecasting and Demand Planning ensuring stakeholders in the forecasting process possess the resources, skill sets and vision to address company’s needs
    • Develop, lead and execute forecasting and demand planning strategies across the organization
    • Continuously evaluate and improve all demand management KPIs
    • Provide summary KPI reports with full analysis indicating trends, improvements and continued opportunities
    • Set the metrics to measure forecasting and demand planning traceability and accuracy
    • Proactively review supply planning process and implement changes in processes and structure to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity
    • Manage the evolution of our Demand Planning module in our ERP system
    • Own ad-hoc analysis, including developing forecast for new product launches and managing inventory for product transitions
    • Provide supervision and training to the supply chain and forecasting team through ongoing communication, evaluation, teaching, coaching, feedback and role modeling
    • Ensures team works efficiently, accurately, ethically and in accordance with the company guidelines
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Be a strong people leader, able to motivate a team and collaborate with peers
    • 10+ years experience in supply chain, with 5+ years experience leading supply & demand planning
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into objectives to drive performance and financial objectives
    • Strong planning, organizational, problem solving skills
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills required
    • Self-directed and have excellent follow through, attention to detail, prioritization skills to handle workload and expert time management skills
    • Knowledge of Master Requirements Planning, Master Production Scheduling, and Distribution Requirements Planning
    • Experience with a Demand Planning Systems
    • Team Player and leader making a positive impact to the organization
    • Sense of urgency and strong communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree, MBA or Masters in Supply Chain or similar field
    • APICS Certification
