  • Overview

    Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Warehouse Manager works in support of all field sales activities. Additionally, the Warehouse Manager will provide functional coverage as required in the areas of route order fulfillment, weekly warehouse orders, inventory management and general warehouse organization/cleanliness.
    The Warehouse Manager position is a full-time, non-exempt position.

    Responsibilities

     In partnership with DSD field sales, Inventory Accounting and Peet’s supply
    chain, the Warehouse Manager will have primary responsibility to manage dayto-
    day warehouse functions including fulfilling/staging route orders related route
    transfer orders, weekly warehouse stock replenishment, and warehouse
    inventory accounting.
     Maintaining warehouse housekeeping duties
     Maintain warehouse to state and federal food storage standards
     Maintain supplies
     Cleanliness of restrooms
     Keeping warehouse floor clean and free of debris
     Manage removal of waste/pallet recycling
     Manage product returns according to company standards (donation and/or
    disposal)
     Power equipment maintenance and upkeep
     Maintain warehouse to OSHA standards
     Work with District Manager to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and
    improve workflow/processes with Route Sales Representatives and develop
    warehouse SOPs.
     Provide back-up functional coverage to support field sales activities including
    operating company/rental trucks, direct shipment to retail accounts and in-store
    merchandising assistance.
     Responsible for the accuracy of route orders and warehouse inventory
    management.
     Perform inventory tracking tasks as required.
     Use computerized equipment such as HHC and/or desktop computers
     Certified to operate heavy equipment such as powered forklifts and floor jacks.

    Qualifications

     Must be at least 18 years old
     Grocery and/or DSD experience recommended
     Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately in English
     Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, even on short notice
     Proficient in safety procedures
     Self-motivated and able to work independently
     Must have clean DMV record
     Strong interpersonal savvy; ability to relate well to all levels and backgrounds.

     Computer proficiency within Microsoft suite as well as Peet’s HHCs.
     Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently. Organized and able to handle
    multiple tasks. Self-directed able to work autonomously
     Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

     

    Physical Qualifications:

     Continuous standing/walking in a warehouse environment throughout the shift
     Frequent push, pull, squat, bend and reach to stack, carry, lift and pick product
    throughout the shift
     Continuous lifting of 20 lbs., frequent lifting of 25-40 lbs. and occasional lifting
    of 50 lbs. or more
     Frequent stacking of pallets and empty displays (20-50 lbs.) up to 6 feet fall
     Frequent lifting above the shoulders
     Frequent picking and packing of bags of coffee up to 3 lbs.
     Operating manual pallet jacks and power equipment
