  • Overview

    Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Talent Acquisition, the Home Office Recruiter is responsible for managing full cycle recruitment activities for Peet’s home office. The Recruiter builds strong relationships with hiring managers and partners with them to fill open positions with highly qualified candidates. They design and execute appropriate sourcing and recruiting strategies, including building effective networks and relationships to create an on-going pipeline of highly qualified candidates. The Home Office Recruiter promotes Peet’s values to candidates and positions Peet’s as an employer of choice by enhancing/communicating our employer brand strategy to both candidates and the community.  This position is a full-time, exempt position.  We are looking for local candidates who would be able to work daily from our Emeryville Corporate office.


    • Works with hiring managers to understand their recruiting needs.
    • Determines effective search strategies and successfully builds a pipeline of highly qualified, diverse candidates for current and future openings.
    • Manages the recruitment life cycle of both internal and external searches including but not limited to, posting jobs, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, gathering feedback, facilitating the selection process, conducting reference checks and negotiating offers.
    • Schedules all interviews and necessary follow up meetings to align on incoming talent
    • Educates hiring managers on best practices, hiring process and their responsibilities in hiring successfully.
    • Ensures compliance with all Peet’s hiring policies and practices, consistently meets or exceeds established metrics and goals, and demonstrates company values through their work.
    • Forms productive working relationships with other members of the Talent Acquisition and People & Culture teams.
    • Responsible for completing other duties as assigned.


    • 5+ years in house corporate recruiting experience
    • CPG/Retail industry recruiting experience preferred
    • Experience with ATS, HRIS systems
    • Knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of recruiting including direct sourcing and innovative, proactive recruiting methods.
    • Strong relationship building skills and customer service focus.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Time management skills and ability to work independently.
    • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and statutes which govern employment policies and practices.
    • Knowledge of and proficiency with applicant tracking systems, recruiting technologies and MS office.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience.
