  • Overview

    This position supports the manufacturing operations with analysis, design, and processes to provide efficient operation while maximizing output in order to achieve safety, environmental, quality, and operational expectations.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze raw materials, finished products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate design and processes
    • Assist with analysis, evaluation, and assessment leading to development of recommendations for system and process improvements
    • Analyze evaluations and quality assessments for proper implementation of programs, systems specifications and quality standards
    • Write proposal documents relevant to process design
    • Budget management skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic and critical thinker
    • Participates in strategic planning efforts with the operations team
    • Other duties as assigned and needed by the business, including leadership and supervision
    • Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, and sanitation rules and programs

    Qualifications

    • BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Master’s in Business Administration a plus.
    • 3 plus years of leadership in a food manufacturing plant, extensive knowledge of FDA regulated plant preferred
    • A strong understanding of safe work principles
    • Self-motivated and self-directed requiring minimal daily supervision
    • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
    • Excellent knowledge and proficiency of computer software use and engineering applications
    • In depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, OSHA)
    • Strong leadership and project management skills
    • Organized with excellent time management skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
